Welcome to Troop 16, Livingston New Jersey (National Troop #5216)

We are a Boy-Led Troop.

We believe in the principle that the Troop belongs to the Scouts. Troop 16 is led by the boys who are elected by their peers. The Adult Leaders provide guidance and oversight so that the Scouts will have a safe program that adheres to the Guide to Safe Scouting. The Scouts will become independent leaders and learn life skills which could be used during their lifetime. Scouts will learn to become an effective leader by performing the duties of the leadership positions he holds as he moves through his Scouting journey. The Scouts Patrol Leaders Council will plan and execute their programs for weekly troop meeting and outdoor skills programs on camping trips and other activities.
